Allegra Jordan is a painter based in Beacon, NY

Allegra was born and spent her early years in Asia before settling in the Hudson Valley, NY.

In 2013, Jordan began painting with oil, a medium that enabled her to be emotionally expressive within texture and movement.

At 19 years old, she became a single mother and moved with her son to Beacon to pursue her art. Her work explores themes of young parenthood, grief, sexuality, and maturity during late-stage capitalism.

Allegra Jordan is a founding member of the artist-run initiative Super Secret Projects.
